The #9 peak was very well-isolated from other human peaks but some overlap with neighboring hamster peaks. By fluorescence in situ hybridization with sorted chromosomes, there is 17% hamster DNA.
About 62% of the library is human (and 38% hamster) by plaque hybridization.
